We are evaluating Storyline for simulation-based courses.
Our screen display is set to 1920 x 1080 resolution. When we record the screen with Full Screen or with slide size of 1920 x 1080, we see an empty space above and below the screen. I have attached a sample screenshot for reference.
How to avoid that? Please suggest.

Based on the slide and some measurements from your image, the slide size is clearly 4:3 and the screen recording is 16:9.
I did a test where I had the slide size at 4:3 and then recorded at 16:9 and it looks just like yours. https://a.cl.ly/ApumARoY
I'd double check that the slide size is 16:9. If it isn't you may be able to change the slide to 16:9 and reinsert the video. If it is 16:9, you could try to change to 4:3 and then back to 16:9 and see what happens.
Regardless, based on your screenshot, the video recorded was 16:9 and inserted onto a 4:3 slide. If you need further assistance, contact our support team and they can look at the file.

It looks like you may also need to adjust your Slide Size to 1920x1080. An then reinsert the Screen Recording.
Design>Slide Size
I did that Ron. Slide size is set to 1920 x 1080.
