English state overwritten with changes in other language, quiz questions, storyline 360
lorraineS Were you able to get this issue resolved? I'm pretty unhappy with how my support case turned out, (which surprise) they weren't able to find anything.
Hey TheOGMike,
Thanks for following up. I see that my teammate Phil has been helping you through your case.
Some text overflow can be expected when translating from English to Spanish, since the translated text may require more characters and more space within text boxes and captions. However, I understand that the concerns you raised about the original translated file seemed to go beyond normal text expansion.
When Phil re-translated the project, he wasn't able to reproduce those same issues. So we couldn't confirm what caused the original translation to behave differently. As he mentioned, there are several variables that could potentially affect the result. Such as the version of Storyline used for the original translation, the glossary, and whether the project was stored locally or on a network drive.
I realize that still leaves you without a definitive explanation for what happened, which I understand is frustrating. If you do encounter the same behavior again, especially if it continues after re-translating the project, please let us know. Having a consistently reproducible example is helpful when troubleshooting further.
