erratic layer behavior in Storyline
I have layer 1, and a button on the base layer that has a trigger to show layer 1. When I show layer 1, the button on the base layer is not visible. In the slide layer properties for layer 1, neither "Hide other slide layers" nor "Prevent the user from clicking on the other layers" is checked. There are no triggers changing the state of the button to hidden. If I go to layer 1 and expand the "Base Layer Objects" item on the timeline, the button displays with the little eye icon, which means it should be visible on layer 1.
I use the word "erratic" in the title because the piece wasn't like this when I built it. Also, if I'm previewing and go to layer 1, if I move the cursor over the place where the button is, the cursor changes to a hand, even though the button is not visible.
I've had this problem show up a lot recently. Help?
Problematic file is attached.
The Feedback Master has a Solid fill for its background. That covers everything on the base.
Change that to No fill, and the base buttons will be visible.
For future reference: Can't see the base from a layer? Or is it just dimmed? Is that what you want? Here's how to control base visibility... | Articulate - Community
