Error when publishing to Success Factors LMS

Hi everyone,

My organization is implementing the Success Factors LMS.  I have created courses in Storyline 3.   When we try to publish the courses to the LMS we get the following message:

The parser could not validate the SCORM Import file due to the following reason(s). Proceeding with the import may incompletely import the file, or the file itself may be corrupt. You may choose to continue with the import at your own risk.

Error on line 2: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'manifest'.

Not sure if I am posting this in correct group.  Can anyone help?

  • Hello community, has this ever been resolved? We are experiencing the same issues with SuccessFactors Learn, specifically 2004 4th Edition content from Storyline 360.

  • The only way I have been able to resolve it is actually to start with a fresh file and copy all the slides over.

I tried the LMS manifest changes and I couldn't get it to work. Creating a new file and copying the original slides in was the fastest way for me to resolve this problem.

  • Hi Markus, thank you for the prompt reply. Do you have specific publish settings, player settings, or quiz completion settings set that you have found to make a difference in the recreation of the content? We just want to ensure we are checking all of the boxes. Additionally, if using SuccessFactors Learn, do you upload to the item as a Content Object or Content Package with SCORM 2004 content?

  • Currently I am once again receiving the A SCORM 2004 content package contains sequencing and navigation rules. It cannot be added to the item as the item can only contain one set of sequencing and navigation rules. Error again.

Last week when published and did the upload to our LMS SuccessFactors I was successful and I made the recommended edits to the manifest file to exclude the top right hand corner navigation.  In the last month I have done the exact same steps to get my SCORM 2004 content online and this issue only started today as I am trying to test another exam before I publish to our audience.

  • Hi, Elyse.

Thank you for opening a support case! I see you're working with Cleo, so you're in great hands!

    Hi, Tamara.

    Thank you for reaching out!

I went ahead and opened a case on your behalf, so we can investigate what's happening. You'll receive an e-mail soon from our team!

  • Glad to hear you are trying Christine's suggestion, Tamara!

I just wanted to add a quick note: it looks like your signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove it by clicking ‘Edit’ below your response. Here’s a quick Peek 360 video if you need help.

    Have a great afternoon!
