Feature request - Auto-play VO in Rise 360

This has been requested for 9 years now, will you finally add this as an option to rise courses please?

Having sections or blocks that auto-play an audio clip or voice-over when they appear on visible sections, or in sequence.

This could be for a normal audio block to keep things simple, just giving us an "auto-play by default" toggle on the course settings. You can even add a "turn-off auto play" for the learner perhaps, (if this makes it more palatable to the decision makers).

Having learners click an audio-block "play" button every time is obviously not going to happen (or rather; is very clunky), depending on the use-case of the learning.
We see a lot of clients who want more basic SOP-type courses, but where learners are not the best readers, or don't have English as their first language, so we want them to "listen by default".

I am aware that you can set the continue button to depend on the playing of an audio block before functioning, but this isn't the same thing, and it's not very fluid (to say the least).

A response that I have seen staff make on the subject is this:

"Web browsers are moving towards stricter auto-play policies in order to improve the user experience. We agree that requiring some kind of action from the user, such as clicking a button before playing audio, is the right approach to ensure a unified experience for all learners. To that end, we won’t be adding any auto-play features to Rise 360."

E-learning courses are not standard web pages... yes I am fully on-board with "auto-play on the internet being the devil" in general-terms, absolutely. Nobody wants to jump on a web page and have sound blasted at them without their consent.
But e-learning is a product in most cases, or a workplace learning tool in most others. In these situations it is absolutely a necessary option. Even if –god forbid– the learner needs to click an "allow" button from the browser... that's fine.

Storyline 360 has auto-play, and –it– is usually played on the web as well... so I don't really see why Rise 360 can't have this?

Many clients are not willing to pay development time any more for full storyline courses, so if you aren't sorting out storyline's decades-old interface and it's "quirks" that make it like running through treacle in order to get a consistent style that can be updated dynamically...
Or when you're done adding tedious "AI" features that nobody asked for...
Then please give your customers what they ask for with Rise...

Take a look at this thread. 9 years old with 56 replies, can someone read them please:

Or this one from 3 years ago (7 replies)

I think that's all that needs to be said.
