Feedback Masters

I have been working with Storyline for several years and have not been add a quiz for most of those years. Now I'm adding quiz's and I'm having some issues.

  1. My feedback layers are not following the masters. For my incorrect layer the font size is different is some. I changed to font to something crazy just to see if it would change and it did. But the size didn't change. I need to go into each layer and change it. No global change for the font size.
  2. I have a master that doesn't show in any feedback layer or slide. I changed the background and added a person to make it stand out like it was suggested in a post the other day, but I still can't find it to remove it.

I know one of you great people out there can help with this situation.

Here's the behavior I see with Feedback Masters. When I change the size (or font) of the text in the Feedback Master, the text in existing question slides also changes—unless I previously changed it on the slide. In those situations, the text maintains the size/font I gave it.

In other words, if you edit the style of the text on a given slide, Storyline assumes you want to keep that "custom" style. Therefore, it doesn't override it when you change the Feedback Master.

If you never edited the text style on the question slides, but it's not updating, well, I'd say that's an issue for support: https://access.articulate.com/support/contact

Feedback Masters only apply to layers. Nothing on a layer appears in the thumbnail slide images in StoryView or in the Scenes panel. You'd have to look at the layers on each slide to find where a Feedback Master is being used.

Keep in mind that questions in a question bank (QB) might have layers. So you have to look there, too.

For Slide Masters, if you put an obvious item on one (like a big red shape) but don't see that on any slides in StoryView, then that master is probably used in QB questions or even on the placeholder for a QB draw.

So, I see what you mean. If I find the layers that the font didn't increase in size but do change in font, I can delete the test box, reapply the layer it will bring back a text box that will change font size whan I change the master.

      Thanks again.

Lesson learned, don't change the box edit the master only.
