Fillable Text Boxes
Hello!
I am new to uses Articulate Rise, and so far love it. I was wondering if there is any feature that allows for a fillable text box to be added? Or could this be a feature that could be added in the future? My team and I are building a module that would need a fillable text box to add personalized notes or completion dates. i'm hoping this is possible and am open to any creative solutions.
Thank you
Hi there, Sarah. There isn't a note-taking feature in Rise 360 currently. I've seen folks embed or link out to data entry apps like Google Docs, however. We'll let you know if we add fillable text blocks!

I have come across this post and would be interested to know if free-text boxes are now available in Rise 360 in 2022? This is a feature that would enhance creating courses in Rise.
ThanksHi Dorothy. We don't have this feature yet, but we're investigating the different use cases. Can you tell me a little more about how you'd use this feature? Some examples:
- ungraded essay responses
- course survey or feedback responses
- learner notes

Hi Crystal
Thanks for getting back to me. An ungraded essay question might be a good example.
As the learner goes through the Rise learning they might be asked at different points to add reflection notes before moving on, and a fillable text box block would allow them to do this. I did manage to do a workaround using Storyline and bring in a fillable text box, but an option directly in Rise would be a lot smoother.
Many thanks.

Thanks for sharing what options you need to see in Rise, Dorothy. We'll update this thread if we make changes that will help!

Hi there, looking for an update on this or perhaps some guidance. We are building interactive workbooks to go along with an in-person virtual training that we do. Rise does everything we need it to do for this except to allow our participant to record their thoughts on reflection questions along the way.
I've created a simple fillable block in Storyline and imported it into Rise, but it resets if the participant returns to it so they can't re-read their answer. Is there a setting I'm missing, or a way that I can allow them to answer the reflection question and then have their answer saved for when they return to that page?
Thanks so much!

Oh this is interesting, thanks so much for the information! We are using SCORM 1.2 but perhaps I can look into whether we can use 2004 instead. I guess I'll be doing more research!
Thanks again!
