Freeform Quiz with layers
Hello,
I'm trying to create a scenario using freeform quiz elements to grade the choices the user makes as they move through the narrative. One method I'm using to not prompt the user of the correct answer is by using layers and lightboxes to create a sort of inventory of tools that are ever-present, they are essentially actions that are always available throughout the scenario rather than prompted at the appropriate time. I believe this will create a better assessment.
I would like the user to receive points for using an item in their inventory but only once they've confirmed they want to use it with a confirmation popup. That confirmation popup is a layer triggered by selecting the object in the base layer. However, when I try to connect the Pick One question to the YES button on the confirmation popup, it only offers objects from the base layer, not the layers stacked on top. Is there any way to connect these two?

Looks like it can only be the base layer? Is this still true after 9 years? If so... why?
