Going back to base layer from a slide outside of the layers slide.

I have a slide with 4 people on it. The user needs to click on each person.  Once a person is clicked on, it takes them to a layer. Then, the user clicks next and gets a feedback slide. I have a "back" button on this slide.

I want to go back to the base layer (another slide) once the user clicks "back" on the feedback slide.

Help please!

  • Hide the layer as the user leaves the slide. Or add triggers that hide all the layers when the timeline starts, so they'll hide when the user returns to the slide.

  • Delete the built-in trigger for the back button ("Jump to previous slide when user clicks Back"). Instead use this trigger: "Jump to [Name of slide with 4 people] when user clicks Back"

@Walt, I did that. It still went to another layer - not the base layer. But I did get it to work using Judy's suggestion. Thank you!

  • @Judy! Thank you! That worked.  (I didn't realize the order of your triggers was important. I learned something new today!

Now, it goes back to the correct layer. But, what if I have audio on that slide that I no longer want to play each time the user goes back there. Can you help me with that?

If you set the Slide Properties to "Resume saved state" when revisiting, the timeline won't replay the audio.
