Graded Quiz: Fill In The Blank
Is it possible to have more than one fill-in-the-blank question on each slide?

Saved the day again, SuperHero Jeannette!
You even answered a question I didn't even know to ask!
Hadn't thought about giving learners a response if they didn't complete the question.
Thanks again Jeannette.

Oh, wait -- I do have a question.
When I look at my Quiz questions, the Convert to Freeform icon is disabled (and says Remove Freeform).
I tried creating a new True/False question to see if that made a difference, but it did not.
Is there a setting somewhere that makes questions Freeform by default?
And even then, why would the icon be disabled?

Hi Judith,
If the button says "Remove Freeform," it means that slide has already been converted to a freeform question previously. If you need to adjust the freeform slide's behavior or settings, above the trigger panel you will see an Edit button that allows you to open a question editor, where you can make whatever changes you like. Does that help?

Hi Jeannette,
My problem is basically that the icon that says Remove Freeform is disabled.
Wen I insert a new quizzing slide, even when I select a regular quiz question (like True/False), the icon still says Remove Freeform.
The only time I see Convert to Freeform is when a slide does not have any quiz questions at all, just regular text or graphics.
Could there be a setting that makes new questions in freeform by default?

Hi Judith & thanks for clarifying! The Convert To Freeform option won't appear on quiz slides that you've inserted via Insert>New Slide>Quizzing. This is because the slide is already a quiz question... and it's not possible to change it into a freeform question, since the ready-made question types have pre-fabricated logic and functionality attached to them.
If you want to create a Freeform question, a good way to do that is start with a regular (non-quiz) slide, insert some objects that you want to use as your interactive elements (such as shapes, data entry fields, etc.). Then use the Convert To Freeform button to turn the slide into a freeform quiz question.
I hope that helps!

OK, now that makes sense!
So when you're talking about converting a quiz slide to freeform, you're talking about a quiz slide that was made manually?
Or how else can you create a multiple choice or true-false quiz question except by selecting a new quizzing slide?

Yah, the Convert to Freeform is really just allowing you to transform a non-quiz slide into an interactive, gradeable question or interaction. It's great for situations when a more "conventional" question type (such as multiple choice and true/false) doesn't fit your needs.
So for example if you want to build a multiple choice question where all the answers are simply text-based, you'd go with the ready-made multiple choice question type (Insert > New Slide >Quizzing>Multiple Choice.
If, on the other hand, you were creating a more graphical question where you wanted learners to study 3 different shapes or images, and select one of the actual shapes or images as their answer, you'd start by building your content on a regular slide, and then use the Convert To Freeform option to turn it into a Pick One question (which behaves just like a multiple choice, except the answer choices are objects rather than text).

Hah! Now I get it.
Maybe I'll have to get more creative and use objects instead of text for some of my questions!
Jeanette, thanks again.

SOLVED: I figured out my error - had to change the order of my triggers.
Help! I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've tried over and over again to replicate what Jeanette did with her fruit/animal slide and I can't get it to work. My quiz question just shows "Invalid Answer - you must complete the question before submitting."
I've attached the file. If anyone can point out my error, I'd appreciate it!
