Hiding Features in Storyline 2 Player
I'm curious as to why (Storyline 2) on the first page of my story I am still seeing the Resources in the top-right corner of my player. I changed the settings to be 'custom for this slide' and deselected the Resources but the link still appears in the player (when I preview the course)... even after saving.
According to the tutorial (below) from the Community, I programmed it correctly. Am I missing something?
Showing or Hiding Player Features
By default, each slide will show the features you enabled in the course player, but you can customize the player features on a slide by slide basis. Just choose Custom for the selected slides from the Player features drop-down, then mark the boxes for the features you want to show.
If you change your mind, click Reset to revert to the player defaults. (This also resets the navigation buttons to Prev/Next for content slides and Submit for question slides.)

Hi Christine
look at the player properties and see if the Resources box is checked under the Player Tabs

Actually, I think I see what it is... these are custom links (not Resources) added to the Player that are positioned in the top-right corner of the screen. It looks to me like those are editable from the Player only and not from the Slide Properties - per attached screenshot.
Is that correct?
Thank you!

Hi, Christine -
You are correct; the custom tabs are only editable from the Player and not from the Slide Properties. :)

Hi guys, does that mean if the TAB has been edited is "only editable from the Player and not from the Slide Properties - it can not be turned off for say the first intro screen? See my question below.

Meaning Slide Properties only effects the standard Player Tab - NOT tabs you have added in.

Hi, Garry.
I replied to you here, but I missed that part of your question. You are correct: custom tabs cannot be removed from specific slides.
We have a feature request logged to hide custom tabs in player.
I will update this discussion if I have any news to share or if this request makes it to our feature roadmap.

Hi Maria Costa
Does that mean if i add a 'menu tab' into the course it WILL appear on the front Intro screen?
Cheers
Garry
Hi Garry,
It sounds like you've created a custom tab, correct? If so, it will appear on all slides in your project.
If you use a built-in option, you can customize whether this displays on your intro slide or not.
I created a Peek 360 video to see if I'm understanding and demonstrate what your options are.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello Leslie,
Thank you for the workaround. Seems strange that SL cannot turn off a custom menu at least on the Intro Slide. This would be a good featureThank you the screenr to explain the fix, it really helped.
Kind Regards
Garry
