Hiding Layer from Screen Readers when Hidden
Hello! I am working on a project that has a web object video that plays on a slide and once the video is over, the layer the web object is on is hidden and a new layer with a button prompting the user the next slide is shown. The web object video has been removed from the focus order list and unchecked the box making it visible to accessibility tools.
In the screenshot above, I have the built in Windows Narrator running and it is highlighting and reading the Restart Video button that is on the video even though that layer is hidden and the a new layer with the Next button as seen above is the only one that should be visible. Using the normal tab targeting without a screen reader doesn't have any issue so this seems to be an issue with screen readers only. Is there any tool within Storyline that I can use to remove the video object after it is completed? Or does anyone have any advice that might help me out here?
Thanks in advance!

Hi ShivamP,
Sorry to hear that Narrator is focusing on controls from a hidden Web Object in Storyline.
We are tracking some active Storyline bugs affecting screen reader focus on hidden layers. Do you mind uploading your .story file so we can check if you're being affected by a known issue? If you prefer to share your file privately, please connect with our team through a support case.
In the meantime, does this behavior occur with other screen readers, such as JAWS and NVDA? Or just Narrator specifically? Also, are you seeing this issue when previewing within Storyline, or only after it's been published?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi StevenBenassi,
I'll upload the file through a support case. I have reports that this has been happening with JAWS and as well VoiceOver on Mac devices. I'm seeing this issue after the file has been published. I've been doing testing on SCORMCloud while my client who is also reporting this issue has been testing on LearnerWeb
