Hiding "lessons" text above non-lessons
How can I hide the text: lesson 1 of 15 about lessons that are actually not lessons.

Hi Katherine,
There is no need to change those references to "Lessons" as learners do not see those labels.
The word "Lesson" highlighted in your screenshot is only visible to the course developer.
