Hindi text clipping in player UI - looking for a Devanagari-safe font

I am localising a course to Hindi and seeing clipping in the player UI (course title and menu items). Some Devanagari diacritics and matras get cut off at the top or bottom. By this I mean the small combining marks above or below the letters.

• Different browsers shift the text slightly up or down, and with tight vertical metrics the marks get clipped either at the top or the bottom. 
• Line height in some player elements seems fixed or too small, so combining marks draw outside the box.
• Slide text is fine, since slide layouts allow proper line height.

Has anyone found a screen-optimised Devanagari UI sans-serif that renders cleanly in the Storyline player without clipping above or below the baseline?

• Noto Sans Devanagari
• Nirmala UI
• Kohinoor Devanagari
• Arial
• Arial Unicode
• Mangal

If you have a specific font, version, and size that works reliably in the player, I would appreciate details. Tips on player settings, line height, or avoiding font substitution would also help.
