Hover state for invisible shape/object?
Hello,
I have a photo of a piece of equipment, and I would like caption bubbles to pop up when various parts of the equipment are hovered over. I figured I could just put invisible shapes over the parts and create hover states, but it appears the hover state only works if the shape is visible (outline/fill). Hotspots don't have hover states. Am I missing something?
Thank you!

Well, I discovered that you can fill the shape and set transparency at 100%, and that works. Also if you have an outline but no fill, the hover state will only show when you hover over the outline part.

Hi Christa!
It sounds like you're trying to apply a glow effect to a transparent shape, is that right?
Since the glow effect is part of the shape's outline, you won't see the glow if the outline is transparent.
If you can tell me more about what you're looking to do, there may be another way to go about it!

I was having this problem also. Now that I set the shape transparency to 100% it works but I did not seem to have to do this before. Not sure what changed but now I have to do the 100% transparency instead of just having no fill or outline. Seems a bit mysterious to me.

If you have an object with no fill, there are no pixels inside the object, so there is nothing to recognize that the cursor is above them. Transparent pixels exist, even if you can see right through them. The transparent pixels sense the cursor.
