How to attach downloadable documents to Storyline 360

Hello, I would like to upload several Word and Excel documents to my Storyline360 course. Then have the user be able to download these when clicking on a link. Is this possible?
Many thanks!!

    Hi Vladimir,

You can set up a link either as a hyperlink to text in a text box or, if you prefer, you can have it triggered by clicking on a button. If you want to set up a trigger, the one you want to use is Open URL/File. You will notice that the same trigger wizard comes up if you highlight some text in a text box, right click and select Hyperlink from the drop down menu.

The way your file is dealt with when the user clicks on a button or a text link can vary depending on the type of file. For example, a pdf may be opened in a new web browser page, whereas a Word document may simply be downloaded. Either way, it is possible for the user to save the document for future reference.

        Hi Monika,

I'm glad my response was helpful. You also have an additional option if you want your documents to be available throughout the course and that is to add them to the Resources tab.

This can be done from within the Player Properties:

Once you add resources, a Resources tab will appear in the top right corner of the screen above your slides:

The user will now have access to these resources from any slide throughout your course simply by clicking on the tab and then selecting the appropriate resource. These files can be in a range of formats including pdf, word and even audio/video.
