how to gather scores from multiple quizzes in one final page
Hello, I need your help on a topic regarding multiple quizzes.
So, I want to do a product containing multiple quizzes. Every quiz will have points per answer. I want to gather those points from all the quizzes in a final result page, showing the users final score from all quizzes. The final result should be something like " between 75 and 100 points you receive an excellent mark, between 50 and 75 % a neutral and so on.
Can I do that in Artiulate storyline 2 or 360?
Thank you.

- Hi Adrianna! - Yes, this is possible in Storyline 360 by using the feature to track results slides rather than quiz questions. - A result slide can track question slides or other result slides. Use the Calculate results for drop-down to select one of the following: - Selected questions - Use this option to track individual question slides and question draws. - Selected results slides - Use this option to combine other results slides into a cumulative score. - Secondly, to track the number of points you'd want to use the built-in variable, %Results.ScorePoints%. - We'd love to see what you create! Feel free to share it in this discussion! - JasmineThomasCommunity MemberLauren, I also want to combine the results of different quizzes but I wanted to put the total number on a slide that was not the result slide. Is that possible? I created the results slide and the correct number does appear but when I tried to copy and paste that variable onto another page, it wouldn't appear. Can I put the total on a page other than the results slide, and if so, how? Thank you.

- adrianasandor-fCommunity MemberHi Lauren, Thank you for your response, I will try your solution and get back to you with the results :) Have a lovely day ahead, Adriana
- MariaCSStaffHi, Jasmine. You can use a reference to the Results.ScorePoints variable on another slide, by adding % before and after the variable's name on a textbox. The caveat here is that this reference needs to be on a slide that appears after the main Results one (since the variable's value is empty until that point). If that's not your scenario, are you comfortable sharing your .story file here so we can help troubleshoot?
- BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberI'm struggling with something similar. I set up variables to show the results from the section quizzes and then used all of the questions to calculate a final results slide. For some reason, it's not working correctly when I try to review the quiz after the final results. All of the questions except the last section are marked as incorrect.
- MariaCSStaffHi, Bonnie. Thank you for reaching out! If you can share your .story file here, I'm happy to take a look and offer suggestions, and I'm sure others in the community would do the same.
- BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberBecause of confidentiality, I can't share it publicly. Is there a way to upload it privately?
- MariaCSStaffHi, Bonnie. Yes, you can send it privately through a support case, and we'll delete it once we're done troubleshooting! - BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberI uploaded a generic copy of the training to the site earlier this week. Do I need to include a copy via a support case also?

- BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberI took out the content and made a generic version of the training. The variables and questions are all in the same place. Besides showing the questions as incorrect during review, I have to check every time I publish it because it will delete some of the questions (usually, but not always from section 5) from the tally on the final quiz.
- MariaCSStaffHi, Bonnie. Thank you for sharing the .story file! I'm a little confused about how you set your sections and results. It looks like the Result slide is not connected to the questions, and instead, you're doing the calculation manually. Is there a reason why you didn't use Storyline's default calculation? For example, on your first Results slide, you could connect questions 1-7: After following the same steps for all the sections, you could create a final slide that shows the points for each section: - Section 1: %Results.ScorePoints%
- Section 2: %Results1.ScorePoints%
- Section 3: %Results2.ScorePoints%
- etc.
Let me know if this helps! - BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberI set up manual variables to be used only on the individual results slides to show the learner whether or not they needed to repeat a particular section. I thought that if I used the built-in score, the results slide for each section would show the cumulative results. For example, if the first section has 5 questions and the second has 2, you could miss both questions in the second section and still show a score of 71% instead of 0% for that section. Was that assumption incorrect? Thanks for your help with this!

- MariaCSStaffHi, Bonnie. The score will be based on the questions you select in the Results slide. So for the second section, if you have two questions and the user answers them both incorrectly, they will receive 0%. You can also add a final results slide, which can be cumulative: I hope this helps! - BonnieTurner-AdCommunity MemberI did as you suggested and it still doesn't work. I added a results page for each section. What's showing on the section results are always a score of 0%. The review button doesn't work either. What should the quiz settings be on section results pages: final assessment, knowledge check, or pre-check? My screen doesn't show the scoring section in your quiz settings picture.
