How to Resolve "File is Locked by Another Process" Message
Just to share what works for me:
I've gotten this message in the past, and I've tried the recommended fixes (copy the file, rename the file, work off desktop, disable automatic backups, etc., etc....
I have noticed if you open from within storyline it definitely happens less. Also waiting for the preview image to load in explorer helps
