  • Hi Cezary!

Sorry to hear you've hit a snag with that option from the player properties!

As Judy shared, rebuilding the slide from scratch to see if it improves the behavior is a great troubleshooting step! Also, confirming that you are working locally and not from a network drive which can cause erratic behavior.

If that doesn't do the trick, feel free to share a copy of your .story file here in the discussion or privately through a support case. We'd be happy to investigate this further and will delete it from our system as soon as we're finished!

That does not work. I am running into this issue as well and it is completely breaking existing slides when republished.

        Hi Peter!

So sorry to hear you're also experiencing this behavior!

I see that the community has offered some helpful insight. However, if the steps shared in this discussion didn't work, I'd be happy to take a closer look at one of your affected project files. Feel free to upload it here in the thread or privately through a support case.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Did you try to apply different layout to this layer? The "Prevent the user from clicking on the other layers" option should be unchecked by default when a new layout is applied.

I was Googling about this issue for I myself had stumbled upon it. It seems to me the problem lays in de layout. If I use a blanc layout for my layer, I can check and uncheck the 'prevent the user... other layers' option. When I use any other layer layout, that option is fixed. It doesn't matter if I use my older, newer, or even a completely form scratch created storyline file. Also: locally or cloud stored is also not a factor in this. Is this happening to more people? Or is this the normal way?

      Hi JeroenLodder!

Sorry to hear you've also run into this setback!

We're currently tracking a bug in Storyline 360 related to this behavior. This bug causes:

      • The 'Prevent the user from clicking on the other Layers' option becomes reselected on Feedback Layers presented as Layers. Even if the author has deselected the option box.

If you're comfortable sharing a copy of your .story file we'd be happy to confirm if you're being affected by the same issue, and suggest possible workarounds.

Feel free to upload your project file here in the discussion, or privately through a support case.
