How to use Storyline 360 without AI Upgrade
Hi LindaNelson,
I'm happy to help out here!
As JanParker mentioned, Storyline 360 includes a Text-to-Speech tool that's separate from AI Text-to-Speech. Here's how you can access it:
- Select Insert on the top ribbon
- Select the drop-down arrow under Audio
- Select Text-to-Speech, then you can choose a language and voice and then insert the script
If your subscription includes the AI Assistant, you'll also have access to AI Text-to-Speech. If you're interested in learning more about these two features, you may want to check out my reply to Katie, where I shared a quick demo.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Is there an option available, aside from the AI Assistant, within Rise as well? I am not able to find this option within Rise.

Hi Chappy10,
Thanks for reaching out!
There are a few topics being discussed, so I wanted to confirm I understand what you're asking. Are you looking for a way to use text-to-speech in Rise 360, that's separate from AI text-to-speech? Currently, there isn't a separate text-to-speech function like in Storyline, but I found this thread that may be helpful. I've shared your comment with our product team, so we'll let you know if anything changes!

Hi KellyAuner,
Yes, separate from AI text-to-speech.
I am aware of being able to create in Storyline and incorporate Storyline blocks into Rise, as the thread you provided noted, but this is not that useful if you want to use for all or the majority of the Rise course.
I might as well just create a Storyline course then. I hope you get this feature is added to Rise soon, that would be helpful. Thanks!
