Hypertext links not working when in a scroll box
Hello Heroes,
I'm experiencing an issue where the hypertext links are not working when in a scroll box.
This is a new issue in Storyline 360. It used to work just fine in the past.
I'm using the latest build of storyline360. I've tested in Chrome and Firefox.
You can see the issue here - https://360.articulate.com/review/content/68269fbb-e1b5-44f7-a0ba-162a25b664f7/review
Has anyone come across this issue lately?
Any help would be appreciated.
Storyline file attached.
Thanks,
Mark

For the sake of closure, here's what I learned (much thanks to the Support team!): The Send email trigger will only allow you to select objects like the Textbox (scrolling or fixed) or a button/shape/image, but will not allow you to select specific texts within the Textbox. This is expected behavior. If you need to select specific texts in the textbox, you can add a hyperlink, that uses the "Open URL/File" with a "mailto:" trigger.

Here is a file, attached, that shows the two different methods of linking... maybe it works for some, depending on browser? or default apps settings? (And here it is in Review360)

I noticed today that in order to get email links to work in my scrolling panel, I had to NOT use the "Send email" trigger (putting the email address in the field), but instead to use "Open URL/file" trigger and put "mailto:joe@emailaddress.com" in the field instead. This appears to be the only way to make them work inside a scrolling panel.

Yes, my colleagues and I have had this same issue with hyperlinks not being clickable, except our links weren't even in scroll boxes. The only thing we can determine as a possible cause is it's a slide we recently made changes to (after the last Storyline update). The link was working before the update and now it's not.
Here's the post I made about the issues we're seeing. Thanks so much for sharing your experience in this thread, Daniella.
I see in our records that you're working with our colleague Philam. You're in excellent hands as well!
We'll continue the conversation over in your personal case.
Have a great start to your week!
