I can't increase the width of drop down interaction bars?

That's why no one ever uses these pre-made activities, which look like they were created a century ago and forgotten in a drawer!  They're ugly, can't be adjusted, and can't be modified in color and shape to fit your client's graphic charter. 
Forgive me for joking.
In my opinion, you're going to have to start creating your own fully customizable drop-down list activity. It's not that complicated to do (but avoid certain tutorials that are unnecessarily TOO complicated). 

I took up the challenge and created the equivalent of your screenshot in... 23 minutes (really). 

As you can see in the .story file, I copied the look of the original activity a little and changed the shapes and colors a little. It's entirely up to you!
There are few layers (1 by bar), few triggers, and I added some visual feedback on the result layers. It's up to you. Try one or more correct or incorrect answers.
And everything is customizable in terms of graphics and text content. Be sure to design the first answer and the first layer exactly as you want them. And name the bar states correctly. You can then copy and paste and adjust the triggers for the other bars.
Using this principle, you can insert these drop-down lists into a text. 

Once you are familiar with how to build this activity, you will be able to do it even faster, and make it more complicated if you wish.
