Insert equations into questions ... for example multiple choice
In the storyline 3 version for 2018, the utility of inserting tables was annexed and that is very good, my question for the designers is: why was not an equation editor for storyline 3 contemplated ?, that would have been fabulous. For example, the Wondershare QuizCreator software brings its integrated equation editor, why not storyline ?.
I hope this comment is useful.
Sorry for my English.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 97, we’ve included essential fixes and new features. One of the new features we’ve included is:
- Build math equations using LaTeX syntax and revise them by adding color and alt text, all within Storyline 360.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Building Math equations has also been released in Rise 360 today!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

Hin Kyle, thanks for backing this.
I have the impression we mean two different things though. What we were talking about above was a way to edit mathematical equations on a slide, basically show them. You are looking for a way to calculate some value in the background and use the result, right?
I can imagine something like that is already possible. If you create a results page and look at the editing possibilities you have there, I can imagine you can find what you are looking for.
I haven't done this myself but that is where I would start.

Hi,
I did some reading and found that what I wanted to do could be accomplished with Java Script. Unfortunately, our company is not going to support Java Script anymore. So I am on a standstill. The really cool and effective tool that I was going to create was left out and a more simpler solution was implemented. I am not sure if there are other alternatives our there.Kyle

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for contacting us to share what you are needing for your course.
We do have an open feature request we are tracking for mathematical equations and this conversation is attached.
The only other solution that I know users used previously was to use images for posting the equations. Hopefully others in the community will be able to chime in and share their additional solutions.
Also, as a heads us, your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

Please have the equation editor integrated into SL360. It has been quite a few years now since this request has been made.

The first question that pops up when i introduce teachers to Rise and Storyline is 'is there a Equation or Math editor?' And time after time i have to disappoint them on that. Of should be top prio to add.
