Issue with Rise renaming our video filenames

When we publish the web content in Rise, it renames our asset folder filenames. In this case, it's renaming our .mp4 file with a long string of characters which includes our original embedded .mp4 filename. The issue with videos not playing/appearing in our published Rise project occurs when Rise renames a video filename and places two dashes (--) right before the original filename. Example: uNp7g38D8uL-xZAb_transcoded-oCbQIg-WQPvuT9b--lenderloaninformation.mp4

If it didn't place two dashes, then our CMS (Crownpeak) would accept the video and appear and play correctly. But not in cases of 2 dashes included? FYI, not every time does Rise rename with two dashes before the original filename, most of the time it adds just one dash.  PLEASE HELP!  Thank you.

  • Hi Michael,

Thanks so much for letting us know what's going on. I see you're also working with my teammate, Rowie, in a support case. He requested that you send him a copy of your Rise 360 course should this situation arise again. Please let us know if you need any extra help in the meantime!
