Issue with video freezing when viewed with LMS
I have created a course in Storyline 360 that lasts for approximately 2 hours. It contains 117 slides, most of which are MP4 videos. I have been testing it before putting it into production in two different LMS systems. About 30 slides into the course a 5 minute MP4 video freezes and I can't advance beyond that slide. It has happened when Cornerstone LMS was used (that we are currently implementing) and also through a service we are currently using called SCORM Cloud that is the storage for our e-learnings before being viewed in our current PeopleSoft system that mimics an LMS. The entire course plays perfectly when previewing it in Storyline in its entirety.
Any suggestions?

what happens, if you start the course direct on Scorm Cloud?
Hello Jerry,
Thanks so much for reaching out. Sorry to hear you're running into this snag with your video within your LMS. I understand how frustrating that can be.
I see that you've opened a support case and you are working with my colleague Darwin. You are in great hands!
We'll continue the conversation over in your support case.
Have a great day and happy developing!

Hi,
We are running into the same issue with some of our courses in Cornerstone. We have a few of the videos (about 4-5 minutes long) freezing up before completing and it is only happening in the LMS but runs fine in preview and in Review 360. Did you find a solution for this issue?
Hi, Maria!
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you're running into this issue as well. I'm happy to help!
I'd like to pass along a few troubleshooting steps that our Support Engineer shared with Jerry:
- Our Engineer shared that video issues typically happen in browsers, notably Chrome. The fix here is to re-encode the video to avoid browser playback issues. Re-encoding the videos by using the HandBrake (https://handbrake.fr/) video editing tool was recommended.
- As for publishing, make sure that you're working from your local drive. Please see the following article for more information and tips:
https://www.articulate.com/support/article/create-edit-and-publish-articulate-storyline-courses-on-your-local-hard-drive - For best results, you may also turn off compression in your Storyline settings. Please note that you can only turn it off for MP4 videos created with baseline, main, or high profiles. (All other videos will be compressed automatically). You can find more information here:

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.

I have the same issue with the training freezing in a specific part, I have a scene video with 7 layers, all of them freeze on the 7th second for some reason, previewing the file on storyline is fine. but the initial scene videos work fine.
