We recently moved to Workday Learning as our LMS. Since then we've been running into issues where Rise articles and Storyline 360 learnings are not tracking correctly or consistently. Workday is telling us that it must be a problem with our wrapping (SCORM). I can't see what we're doing wrong. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a special step we're supposed to take?

We are piloting right now and built course in Rise (with Storyline interactions). We are highly disappointed in the LMS. It was purchased before our Learning team was assembled by the HR team so we're stuck with it for 18 more months :-(. It's in an it's infancy so lacks critical aspects that LMS should have. We have noticed that when a learner completes a course and then revisits the course, it totally starts them off in a new course. It doesn't ask if you would like to resume, etc? it starts them off back off in the beginning of the course. Thus we now have to open our navigation so that learners once they complete courses, won't have to go through all of there course. If you need to update a course, it totally wipes out a learner's progress. There is NO (update a new version) option. So if you made any typos or had a glitch in a simulation, learners progress is LOST. They are back to the beginning of the course every time the course is updates. Your QA game had better be magnificent! Reporting is atrocious. It's just excel sheets that you have to export. Nothing pretty about it. Also The dashboard defaults to tables not graphs. And you can't make it default to graphs to make getting a quick glimpse easier. No gamification 18 more months can't come soon enough!

We are seeing that you need to always use Chrome and not IE. This is a problem for our users. In addition, we have seven vendor purchased modules that are video and graphic heavy. We have employees around the US and the network can drop them and it will not resume them to the spot where they dropped. Reports are difficult to get out of the LMS. We spent about a month perfecting the report. Not all the data can go on one report since the data is stored in separate tables that cannot be joined. With Campaigns, it does not enroll the employee in the course, only tells them they have a course they need to take and go and enroll in it. Hoping in later releases they will get this product corrected. Let me know if you want to speak offline.

I'm on the other side of the fence - I love Workday! I will say, I have only been using the system for 4 years so I still have a lot to learn. It certainly challenges me, but I have enjoyed getting to know the system. I have used other LMSs in the past (UltiPro, Canvas) and personally like Workday the best. There are a few things that Workday cannot do that leaves me scratching my head, but otherwise the system is a good fit for us. I'm happy to help anyone that is having Storyline issues as best I can. We did just recently switch all of our annual compliance courses to Rise and they are giving us issues for (some, but not all) our iPad users. I'm also happy to share/compare report definitions for campaign reporting if it would help. Just for my own curiosity - Why would auto enrollment for campaigned content help? Just to give the employee less steps to take? A more simplistic process for completing learning?

Just published a seven module campaign from Articulate 360 into Workday. At first we were using slide count for completion tracking. Both course completion and resume tracking were functioning properly in our Workday Sandbox tests. We realized that we wanted to track completion with a trigger due to branching within a few modules. Workday stopped tracking completion and resume tracking is not working properly once the completion trigger has been added. Currently researching if Workday views Passed/Incomplete and Completed/Incomplete as the same. Fortunately, we have an awesome instructional designer who knows both systems. I will update this post on what he uncovers.

I don't have the same issue, but am curious as to the solution.

We have been with Workday Learning since January of this year. We are also experiencing issues with courses marking complete as expected for most employees, but then not completing for others. Advising to use Chrome corrects some of the issues reported, but not all. We publish using SCORM 2004 with a pass/fail and/or score option depending on the course. I am interested if anyone has any additional tips we could try. I have reached out to the Workday Community but have not received much support. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Also, I agree with the comments on reporting and campaigns. I did hear that there is a future release that campaigns will automatically enroll users into the course, but there is no deliverable date on that enhancement yet. This would be hugely beneficial because standard learning reports do not show content unless a user is enrolled. The campaign report is locked to an admin level, at least for us, which requires us to provide completion reports for all campaigns. The reporting capabilities could be greatly enhanced from a user experience.

  Hi Tabatha! Have you done any testing on the edition of SCORM 2004 to use? Our translation vendor asked us what edition (2nd, 3rd, 4th) we need to use for Workday Learning. Didn't know if this made a difference for you or any of the other users here.

Can Workday report individual question scores in a quiz? So not only the total score, but which questions the learners got right/wrong.

So we noticed that if a course is not completed when accessed originally, those users report issues completing the training, and Workday does not report successful completion. We use SCORM 2004 V4 Passed Fail. From reading most of the posts here, I heard that the most successful with Workday is to use (Complete / Incomplete) or (Passed / Incomplete). I will start using these settings, and if I see any improvement, I will post them here.

  My testing with WD Learning has shown that the best method is to use Passed/incomplete. With complete/incomplete, if a users fails a quiz and closes the browser, they're not able to get a passing grade recorded to their learning history at all.

Hello everyone,

Can Workday show pass/fail, completion, and score to the learner after completing/exiting the course? I'm testing a course and it has assessment, but after completing the course, Workday only shows Completion, not score.

Is there any method/trick to solve this?

Which is the right SCORM format and version to use? Also, which status should we use if we want to track the score of the quiz made with Rise?

  Yes, Workday can report individual question scores and individual question correctness.
  
  Use SCORM 2004 4th edition. Also, report course completion "when the learner completes a quiz" and select the applicable quiz.

Hi all,

I initially published as SCORM 2004, Vs4, Passed/Incomplete and Workday was running great with this up to middle of this first quarter. Now it is showing problems with freezing while the learners are busy with their quizzes. I have now started publishing to SCORM 1.2, Passed/Incomplete. And so far so good.

@Swapnil: When loading your content onto Workday, there is a field that you need to click to show the score in Workday as shown in this image:

I have inherited Workday Learning and got SCORM files to work from Articulate 360 and Rise 360. Does anyone know how you can see the response interaction data in Workday Learning? I see the complete and percent, but what I want to know is what items they got wrong in the course.
