Lag when published
Hello,
Since the last update, I'm facing a new issue. It seems that my modules start to lag once published, especially when objects are moving on the slide (Arrow with and entering animation, markers with entering animations). It lags on IE and Chrome as well. It lags on review too.
Does anyone else met this problem? Do you have any insight to avoid these lagging issues?
Have a nice day,
Bérengère LITTY

Erika- my ticket is still ongoing. This is what the root cause is in the update I received today. "It has been found so far that what cause this lag is a combination of viewing the course in IE, and the course having multiple animations and / or transitions, which is further amplified if the objects applied with the animations are text objects." I am still on a Feb. release.
Hi Erika,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you are running into a similar issue.
As Crystal mentioned, we have narrowed it down to IE as well. Is this where you are seeing the lag as well?
We are still looking into this, so if you have an example, that would be helpful.

Hello
We have been experiencing this issue in the office as well our It department have looking into the issue and we have established that it is the Google Chrome version that is creating the lag. I am in version 77 which works fine and no lagging but when my team mate that has just had her Chrome version updated to 78 experiences lagging issue very badly.
Hi there, Maria.
So sorry you're running into that, and I'm glad you reached out to our Engineers. I see you’re already working closely with Christopher to see if we could isolate the cause of the lag.
You're in skilled hands, and I'll follow the case as it progresses!

Hi Katie
I am experiencing the same issue with lagging on a game created within Articulate 360. There are a huge number of triggers on the build file to make the game appear animated with a scrolling background, and interactions when an object intersects with other objects. This game was working fine on older browsers of IE and Chrome but on testing today it is now lagging.
I am using the latest version of Chrome version 78 and IE version 11.805.
Please can somebody take a look at what's going on here. I don't want to share my build file - do I need to create a case?
I have 3 clients about to go live with this project and need to know how to fix it.
Many thanks
Alena
So sorry to hear about the lag, Alena!
We're happy to help you sort this, and have a few key questions to start:
- What Storyline 360 update are you using?
- Is the course hosted on a web server or a learning management system?
- With your permission, we can test the affected .story file in a similar environment. You can share it privately with our Support team here. We'll delete the file after troubleshooting–and are happy to sign an NDA if that works for you and your team. Just let us know!

I am using version 3.33.20625.0 - this was the most recent version until this week.
The course is hosted on a web server.
I have uploaded the build file to your link - case number 02028499.
Many thanks
Alena
Thanks for sharing your course with us for a closer look, Alena!
I see that my teammate, Christopher, is closely working with you to sort what may be going on with the lag. You're in skilled hands, and I'll follow the conversation!

Hi,
Do you have any solution for this? I'm expecting same issue with animation lag on Chrome 78 :(

Hi Marek
After a lot of testing Christopher determined this was a possible bug within Articulate and this has now been logged with their software engineers. No update as yet.
