Layers Overlapping in Storyline360
On one of my courses, the base layer slide has 14 buttons, each which opens an associated layer. A few of those layers link to other layers with additional information. This has worked since the course was developed in 2023. When I reviewed it today, not so much.
When I click each of the 14 buttons (without clicking links to sub-layers), it works fine. Each layer appears as it should. However, when I click a button on one of the sub-layers to direct it back to the base layer, the layers start stacking, as in the attached screen capture.
This occurs on slides 1.1 and 1.2, buttons 2 (Trace to Risk Record) & 10 (Mitigated Probability of Occurrence). All layers have the "Hide other slide layers" box checked. Before I change my layout and make each layer its own slide, I'm hoping there's a quicker fix.

There have been a few posts recently about problems with layers.
In one reply from 2 hours ago, Eric says they just released an update that fixes the problem. So try updating to today's version. (If that doesn't help, try reverting to a previous version when it worked.)
Here's the post with that reply:

I am having that same problem - all of a sudden - with my layer text overlapping. It doesn't happen consistently, but when I upload my courses to 360 Review, there they are - overlapping even though the hide other layers button is ticked.

This happened to me when Articulate pushed a Storyline update earlier this year (April, I think) and I spent hours in troubleshooting with no luck. I thought I was going to have to re-design that slide. About a week later, they pushed another Storyline update and it took care of the problem. I'm using v3.118.37034.0.
Hello StephenMoreland,
I'm glad that updating to the latest version of Storyline did the trick! Thanks for letting others know what worked for you in this thread!
Hello VictoriaSubl967,
I understand that you're experiencing a similar behavior with text overlapping when viewing your course in Review 360. Happy to help!
- Are you running the latest version of Storyline 360 (Update 119)?
- Do you experience this behavior with any other courses you're working on or just this one?
As a troubleshooting step, I recommend importing your existing slides into a brand new .story file and then publishing to Review 360.
If you're still experiencing this after troubleshooting, we'd be happy to take a closer look at your setup within a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
