Learner to Ask a Question within Storyline Redirected to an email?
I am wondering if there is a way for a student to send a question on the content of the SL file in an email, or some other way, directly from the SL file. We are changing over to a new LMS that does not have an "Ask a Question" feature. We are thinking of building this feature in the SL file. Ideally the student could click a button, write their question, click send and their question would be directed to an email account.
On a side note, I have experimented with Google Forms, but it doesn't seem to allow the student to stay within the lesson. Instead a new browser window opens.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Angela, I don't think there is any way to send directly unless you could set up a website on your server (or a different one) that could be embedded into a web object inside a SL slide. Email fields within the web object could be filled in and then the email sent directly from that server.
Simpler, as in the attached example, you could trigger a short prefilled email to be sent from the user's own email application. You can fill in the fields in SL and then have a new, ready to send message open in the user's Outlook (or whatever) application. Not ideal, but it could work.

Nathanial's method should work. The only problem you might encounter is that it will open and populate the email, but they will have to click to send it. Might not be a problem, depending on how savvy your learners are.

Thank you for your help. We are looking into the Web object solution.
