Learner to import/upload video to course
Pamela,
If this course is stored on an LMS, check to see if it allows file uploads. Many do.
Have you tried using a webobject that points to a webpage on your website where the person can upload their video?

I've used a webobject combined with the Gravity Forms plugin to create an upload form for clients to upload files via a page on my website. I've also password protected it.
Hope this gives you some ideas!
Richard
Hello richard,
Yes the course is stored on an LMS. The website option is a great idea too; however, I am not sure if they have a dedicated IT or software programmer who works with them on the back end of their website. I also told them about using e-learning plugins because they can get a subscription and create a tab that's password protected and how's their e-learning content on that page.
If they have a website we can use, the web object would work great. I have the storyline blocks set up to capture the learner's name, email address, create certifications, and allow them to upload videos and their resume after they built it..
I hope this all works out. Thank you so much!
Pamela

Hi Pamela,
The LMS we use has a feature to add an assignment associated with any online course.
The assignment allows students to upload files to the LMS. Whenever a student uploads a file, an email gets sent to course instructor who will review the files.

Hi Pamela,
We use the TopClass LMS.
I have used 6 different Learning Management systems, and there is no single "best" or favorite LMS.
A LMS must be selected based on how well it meets the specific needs of your organization. So the first thing you need to do is to prepare a very comprehensive list of requirements, and only then start looking for a LMS.

Hi Pamela,
For the ELH challenge of this week, Blurry backgrounds i made a sample in which you can upload a video.
As i was working on improving my entry for this challenge... using Nathanial Hilliard solution of selecting shapes i noticed a post in the forum about uploading video. As i already was working on making the sample more interactive adding uploadable images to it, i thought...lets add a video in the background. As said... that works fine. You can test it by uploading your own video. Do keep them small ( <= 10 Mb ) as i have limited space on the service i use. If too big videos are uploaded i have to remove this... else my limits will be reached quickly. But as said...it works... And as you can see the Blur filter works even on videos. https://360.articulate.com/review/content/c7b033a4-b06d-42e4-9c2e-ca9d078f04ec/review
I cannot add my Storyline file due to passwords for the service i use to upload videos and images is inthere. If this is what you need, contact me at m.notermans@tilburguniversity.edu and we see if we can make it happen.
Kind regards,
