Limiting the number of times a user can try a quiz in Articulate 360 using the quiz result templates

I would like to know how to use the quiz result templates with the option to limit the number of times someone can try a quiz.

I have referred to an Article "Here's how you can limit quiz retries in Articulate Storyline", however it does not make reference to Articulate 360 and the templates available.

I have tried what was mentioned in the article but it doesn't work.

Any help?

  • Hi Sahe

which template are you referring to.  The article should work the same for SL2, 3 and 360. If you have a file started perhaps upload it and we can check the setup and try to help you.

  • I have the same question. How can limit the number of times the quiz is attempted using the "Velocity" Results template (see attached)?

  • Hi Becca, I don't think that's the issue. This was already set by default to 2 tries.

Is it something about the triggers, maybe resetting the slides? See attached.

Oops! Appreciate the added details and apologies for the confusion, Jennifer 😊

It sounds like you want to limit the number of attempts for the entire quiz rather than each question.

When you enable the Retry Quiz button on a result slide, learners will have an unlimited number of attempts to take the quiz, but here’s one way you can limit the number of attempts.

Let me know if this helps!
