Make audio play when object is tabbed to...

Hi KarenWicks-029a with regards to accessibility, I would not pursue this method, as it will likely interfere with a users screen reader.
When accessing content using a screen reader such as JAWS, NVDA, the radio button is read and identified as a radio button, and also indicates if the button is selected.
If you choose to trigger an audio file when the radio button has focus, it will interfere with the information being provided by the users screen reader and will actually make the experience worse for assistive technology users.
Provided content is using the correct semantic HTML, you can leave it up to the users screen reader (text-to-speech, text-to-braille) to present the content to the user in the detail required.

Hi SamHill I thought it might. The issue I have is at my organisation we currently only have 1 person using JAWS. The default for most other users here is Windows Narration. Also, I've not got the ability to test any of my eLearning with any other screen readers such as JAWS or NVDA.
Thanks
Karen

Windows Narrator will behave in the same way and will read the option text as well as identify the semantic properties such as radio button of check box and whether it is selected. I also test using Windows Narrator and it behaves like assistive technology should.
