Morph causing objects to fade even with same Morph IDs
I see what you're saying. Unfortunately, the behavior seems haphazard. I ran through the slides several times, with a variety of tweaks, and received consistently inconsistent results. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes not, but mostly it behaves as you describe. I feel it's an issue with how the textboxes (or anything containing text) morphs.
I'm not sure there is a reliable solution short of the image approach I described earlier. If I were creating your design effect, I would just convert the text to images and call it a day. Images seem to be more morph-stable.
That was my experience as well, consistently inconsistent 😂
Thank you for the image suggestion, I will give that a go.

Hi NateNagle,
I can see why this would feel inconsistent, especially when everything looks set up correctly and the behavior still doesn’t match expectations.
As PhilMayor mentioned, Morph can be sensitive with text objects. Even small or unintentional differences can cause it to fade rather than transition smoothly, which is likely what you’re seeing here.
In general, text objects can be more sensitive with Morph compared to shapes or images, which can lead to less predictable transitions. The workaround shared here to use images instead of text objects is a solid approach and usually produces more reliable results for this type of effect.

Is that something we can hope to be fixed in the future? I duplicated everything, there's zero possibility they are different in any way (unless duplicate doesn't exactly duplicate). Using images instead of text invites scaling/blurriness issues.

Hi NateNagle,
Great to see that Eric has been helping you.
I can confirm that we're tracking a feature request to improve Storyline's handling of Morph Transitions for Text Objects. I've included your voice in that request, and we'll be sure to notify you if this enhancement makes it to our product roadmap!
