Move the end of timeline

Hi,

I am wondering if this is possible. I have a slide with 1000+ seconds length on the timeline. The slide is now only 10 seconds length. Is there a shortcut to move the end of the timeline from 1000+ seconds to 10 seconds without dragging the end of timeline?

Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if theres a possibility to free timeline that you can use it and drag dia forward after watching the dia. Storyline has the function to free next button and menu after watching but timeline is still locked...??

  • Hi MM04!

It sounds like you're referring to the player seekbar, is that right?

    The seekbar has two settings:

    • Allow user to drag seekbar: learners can use the seekbar to scrub back and forth along the timeline
    • Seekbar is read only: learners cannot skip ahead, since the seekbar is locked.

Try switching the seekbar setting, and let me know if that helps!

Thanks for your advice.. but maybe I dont know how to explain :) I ment that the seekbar should be read only first time when student views the content... and then changes to allow user to drag bar... cause theres no point to force the student to watch it 2 times.. rather give possibility to browse through the parts he wants to check again.

  • Ah, thanks for popping back in to clarify.

A conditional seekbar that is draggable upon revisit is a feature request that our team is tracking.

I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.

I'm adding this conversation to the report so that we can pop in and update you when we can.

  • Hey, folks. I'm excited to let you know that update 21 for Storyline 360 is here! What's inside? 🎁

Please welcome the Conditional Seekbar in the Modern Player! You can use this new feature to prevent learners from skipping ahead until they've completed a slide. The seekbar is locked the first time learners view the slide. After that, they can drag the seekbar back and forth.

Plus many more goodies; check out all the new features and fixes here! Here's how you can update Storyline 360 to see everything the latest release has to offer.

Be sure to let us know what you think!

  • Hello Eric!

We did release the conditional seekbar in the Modern Player for Storyline 360 in Update 21. My teammate, Katie, shared more details in the post above.

If you have any additional questions about the conditional, please let us know!

It looks like newer builds of 360 have changed the process a bit.

Now, grab the "end" marker and hit "home" on your keyboard.
