Need Help Gaining Ownership of a Storyline360 Course

Does that mean you have access to the Current Version drop down for the course? 

If the "Download project file" option is available, that means the .story file is backed up online and you can download it. 

• In essence, a .story file is a zipped file with a special extension. So if the downloaded file has a .zip extension, try changing that to .story. Then anyone with Storyline installed should be able to open and edit it. 

If the file can't be downloaded from Review 360, then check with your IT staff to see if they can access the ex-employee's laptop and/or intranet-storage location to search for the file. Otherwise, you won't be able to edit or republish the course. 

And to prevent issues in the future, definitely set up a process for your team that ensures everyone backs up their .story files to a central location. That's also helpful if someone is out sick or on vacation.
