New Content Library Photos usage rights.
First off, how awesome are the new content library additions?! And I'm sure the library is only going to get larger and larger now that the framework is set up. So cool.
My question. Does anybody know if there are any usage restrictions for the images? Can they be included in courses intended for resale? And can they be exported and used in Rise courses?

Hi Alyssa,
I understand that we can't use the photos from the library in the brochures. How about using them on the website where the course is available? Can I use a pic as a theme photo for a course alongside the course description?
Thanks!
Justyna
Hi Justyna,
Using an image of the course on the site where the learners will access the course falls within acceptable use, so you'll be okay to use it that way!
Hi Jairo,
All the assets in Content Library are royalty-free.
There isn't a direct import from Content Library for Images and Video into Presenter - but you could look at copying or doing a "save as" of the items in Storyline and then insert those into your Presenter course.
Publishing a course to your LMS using PowerPoint should require Presenter 360, right?

Thank you for the quick response Leslie. sorry I missed it until now :(
Sometimes we publish those PowerPoint presentations to the LMS using Presenter 360 and sometimes we create videos from the PowerPoints without using any Articulate products that we publish to the LMS. I understand that if a PowerPoint contains images from the Articulate library and it gets published with Presenter 360 it is safe because it is an Articulate output, but if the same PowerPoint gets published as a video on its own, bypassing any Presenter or Articulate product, is it safe to use?
Similarly, is it OK to use an image from the Articulate library in the LMS if it stands alone and not as part of an Articulate published output?
Thanks!

Hi Jario,
Happy to help here!
You are welcome to use the content available in Content Library 360 for your e-learning! They're all royalty-free for commercial and non-commercial use—no attribution required. However, they are not intended for other purposes like a product brochure. You can find the specific language about this in our Terms of Service under Section 2.11.

Hi there :) Thank you so much for the above info. We use Storyline and Rise to create our courses. In a lot of our images we combine photographs and illustrations or we collage a few photographs together. We just realised what an absolute gem the Content Library is, BUT are we allowed to save the images, edit them/add to them and insert them back to our Storyline file?
Hi Mareliza!
Great question!
You may use the Content Files to develop your e-learning end product in our Services (“End Product”), including modifying and embedding the Content Files into your End Product, and reproducing and distributing the Content Files if integrated in your End Product. However, you may not use or distribute the Content Files on a stand-alone basis outside of your End Product. For clarification, you do not have any ownership rights in the Content Files themselves.
Let me know if you have additional questions!

Hi was just wondering how to site or reference your stock photos within Articulate?
- WaltHamiltonSuper Hero
Citation is not necessary, because Articulate has specifically given us authorization to use them without it. Because the photos are unavailable to anybody outside of authorized users, citation would serve no purpose.

hi, is it allowed to download the image to edit it with photoshop and upload it back to Rise?
- MariaCSStaff
Hi, Sergio.
Since you are uploading it back to Rise 360 as the final product, that's acceptable under our Terms of Service:
You may use the Content Files to develop your e-learning end product in our Services (“End Product”), including modifying and embedding the Content Files into your End Product, and reproducing and distributing the Content Files if integrated in your End Product.
Let me know if this helps!
