Hi!
I would love to know if there is a way to have more than 10 options for matching (I only need 12, as I am trying to make a cranial nerves quiz)! Thank you!
Hi William! 10 is the current max limit for the Matching Type question. You can try splitting up your matching type questions into 6 and 6 to fit your 12 item requirement.
In the meantime, I'll let the team know you'd like to see a higher limit for Matching Type items. If we make any changes that help, you'll hear about it!

Increasing the character limit in the matching activity seems to be an issue - it's particularly problematic for translated content. Perhaps having the ability to embed an image into the match tiles could be a workaround - that way we could embed an image of our text into each match tile.

Hi,
So the 90 character issue was reported here over 3 years ago and is still an issue?
I am needing up to 120 to fit my definitions into the matching blocks. Is there a workaround?
Also, I would be interested to find out why this hasn't been addressed for 3 years?

How can I format this question to import from the excel template. Everytime I have tried it tells me a different error.
Hi Laura! Did you use a Sorting Block in Rise 360 to create this interaction? If so, could you please share a screenshot of how your categories are set up?

I request Articulate team to take a prompt action into their development of their tool for basic requirements, such as increasing the character limit in a box and being able to to use more than 10 options (boxes) for Matching questions type.
If we were only to make Single-choice or Multiple choice questions, it could've been done on most of our LMS'es, but why we are with Articulate is to be able to have more flexibility in our Learning content design and development.
Appreciate a prompt and a real action on this by Articulate team. Thank you!

It seems that there is a limited number of letters we can put in the Matches column. Is that correct?
- KarlMullerCommunity Member
Hi Robert,
Yes, there is a limit, As I recall it's a 90 character limit for each item.

Thank you Karl! Hope more characters will be allowed to be put in! Another question: In the fill-the-blank quiz type, is there a way that I could set up that any answer is correct for an open question?
Hi Robert,
We can't set up a fill-in-the-blank question so that it can accept any answers as correct. You will have to anticipate all possible answers by adding as many acceptable answers as you can.

Hello Alicia! The reason you're seeing numbers in your Matching Activity is that your quiz setting is set to Reveal All Answers. So RIse will show you the correct order of answers.
If you wish to change it to a correct or incorrect mark instead, change the setting to Show Incorrect Answers with Feedback.
Or you can choose to Hide All Answers if you don't want to show any feedback.
I hope this helps!
