New Rise Feature: Send a Copy

along with sharing courses... any way to copy a lesson and move to an existing or new course?

You can copy lessons within a course by clicking the ellipses next to Edit Content, then select Duplicate.

You also have the option to duplicate a course as a whole. For example, if you need to use Lessons 1, 3, and 4 from Course A to start Course B, you can duplicate Course A and then remove the lessons you don’t need.

It sounds like the ability to copy a lesson from one course to another would really benefit you. We're always looking for ways to improve Rise, and I'd be glad to pass that idea along to the team! You can keep up with all the new features and releases right here.

Any idea when the Collaborators feature will be ready?

Great feature, but we're running into an issue that whenever we share a course it eliminates the links on any buttons. 

We have a lesson (task) that has links to the 3 sub-task lessons. When we share the course, the links are all removed. 

Anyone else?

Oh, and the other annoying thing is that it auto adds the new author to the course even when the first course was hidden.

I saw Crystal just responded to your other post here, so I wanted to link the two. 

Hi Silvia!  I answered you over here in this discussion, so I'm just linking the two.

To recap:

• The hidden author setting for the course will not carry over when you send a copy to another user.  Because the copy becomes a new course on that dashboard, the author information is new.  The recipient should be able to change the author setting on their copy.
• Custom label sets are unique to your Rise account, and they will not transfer over with a copied course.  You can export label sets, however, and send them to the recipient of the copied course!
• Also, Steve you mentioned that links are removed from buttons.  Are you using the interactive button stack?  Are the links going to URLs or directly to lessons in the course?  We tested a few scenarios, and the links were still working in the copied course.

Yes, I found the same issue with the "hide author" option toggling back on in the copy. I am making a branded version for members of my team to be able to create their own content easily. For now I can tell them to turn off the author, and check the labels (thanks Silvia for mentioning the custom button text.)
