Hi, Deborah.
Thank you for reaching out!
If you're looking for a survey question where the users can order pre-determined answers, you can use the Ranking Drag-and-Drop or Ranking Dropdown types.
However, if you want them to have the ability to enter their own answers and then re-order them, you will need to custom build.
If that's the case, I'm looking forward to the suggestions our community members will offer you.

Thanks Maria.
Users have to put 8 items in order of preference. I've looked at the questions but can't find a suitable one to use that already has 8 preferences available. I'm not too good with this system yet. Do you know if there are any slides I can use with 8 options already on offer, please? Thanks

Hi, Deborah.
Either of the Ranking options will work for what you're trying to accomplish, but here's an example using the Ranking Drag-and-Drop survey slide:

Hi Deborah! You might have an issue viewing the images Maria added if you're viewing them from your inbox. Take a look at her post in this discussion and let me know if you see them!

Hi Becca. I can open the link but cannot open the attachments and it's these that I need. Would someone be able to email me them to me direct please? Thanks
Hi Deborah,
I've opened a support case on your behalf and sent an email to you. I included a Peek 360 video to clear up any confusion as well as shared the articles with you directly.
