Overwriting a SCORM and course interruption
Hello,
Is there a rationale or checklist that summarizes the scenarios where overwriting a SCORM will not impact learners that are currently going through a course?
From my experience, as long as the slide count is similar, the SCORM edition is the same, and no changes were made to the menu, a course update/overwrite will not impact learners currently going through the course or enrolled in the course but have not started it.
Is there an official best practice around this?
Thanks,

all learners, which have started, but not finalised to course, will loose their resume data
storyline generates on every publish a new resume id* for the scorm suspend/resume data
so the suspend/resume data of other course versions will be ignored and the course will reset
this can cause problems if you use
- Menu: restricted navigation
- Slide Property: resume saved slide (or automatic decise)
- if the learner has interrupted the training after the first failed test and the course is then modified - this must be tested beforehand
* if nothing structural has changed, this resume id can be manual overwritten with the old one
html5/js/data.js -> "resume": {"id; " ",
