Paragraph numbered list
I would like to have a paragraph block with a numbered list, then an image block or video block, then another paragraph block which continues the numbered list. It does need to be paragraph specifically so that I can have bulleted sublists and also so I can copy content from our current materials in one go. Similar to below but I want the numbers to continue from before the image, basically this list should be numbered 1 - 6. Can anyone help?

Hi Mark,
Have you tried just typing the numbers and manually indenting them as needed? I think that's the best solution here.

If you add another numbered list after the image you'll need to click the Edit button for that block, and then you can specify the numbers that the second list should use.

That works for a numbered list style block but then i cant have sub bullets. There is no option i can see for paragraph style blocks using numbers to set the starting number.

I can't find anywhere in the edit menu that allows me to change the numbers. Am I missing something?

Here's a quick video to show you how to do it.

Hmm the line spacing goes a bit much but yes i suppose we could live with that thanks Allison
You're welcome!
Awesome video, David! Thanks for sharing that here!

Is it possible to change the numbers in an ordered list that is just a paragraph? I'm not talking about the List Block.
Hi there, Annie. If you're using a text block, you can manually number your ordered lists however you like. When you use quick insert, however, it will number your lists automatically without the option to change the numbers.
Let me know if that didn't answer your question!

Hi Crystal,
I'm not using quick insert. Could you record a video showing how to manually number an ordered list in a regular text block? I can't figure it out.
Thanks!
No problem, Annie. Have a look at this quick Peek 360 screencast. I'm just typing out a list rather than using any list or bullet function.

Ah, I see. You're just typing the numbers you want. Thanks!

Typing in the numbers manually removes the automatic indent. (I don't mean on the numbered list, I just mean on text that you select for numbering, if that makes sense.) Isn't there a way to state that the numbered list should continue from the previous list?
Hi, Susan. Because each block is self-contained, there's no way to automatically continue the numbering from previous blocks. Creating a manually numbered list is the best way forward for now!

Then, would it be possible to allow for indenting? (I mean, first line starts at left margin; other lines are indented.)

Or, alternatively, could you just set the first value for a numbered list in a block?
