Paste in place
Being that there is no paste in place option within the same slide, can anyone answer what is the offset of the pasted object in px?

Hi Jose,
When you ask what is the offset for pasted objects in px, and you refer to no "pasted in place" option, I'm assuming (oot-oh) you're referring to this:
- You have an object on the screen, and you select it, then copy and paste it (or duplicate it).
- What is the difference between the horizontal and vertical positions on the first and second objects
Look at the attached, where I've duplicated 3 different types of objects:
- a photograph
- an illustrated character
- a shape
In all cases the difference between horizontal and vertical positions for the first object and the duplicated object is 8 px. You can determine this yourself by
- Right-click an object
- From the shortcut menu, select Size and Position
- Click Position on the left side of the dialog box
If that's not what you meant, or you have any other questions, please shout out!

Hi there,
So what I gather from this is that there is no way to paste in place.
For example, I am trying to paste a button from one slide to another and I'd like to have it in the exact same spot. Do I have to paste it and then move it each time?
EDIT: I've answered my own question! It seems that when you paste on another slide, it will paste in the same place.
So glad that you were able to get this figured out Jordynn and thanks for popping back in with an update. You may save someone in the community in the future :)
Ah, good call Libby. Thanks for popping in to share that tip as well :)

is there a solution for this?

Duplicate the slide and everything on it will be in the exact same location.
Lock the item you want to save, CRTL-A and DEL to select and delete everything else.
