Paste in place
Being that there is no paste in place option within the same slide, can anyone answer what is the offset of the pasted object in px?

simply copy & paste the object in 100% view, then press up navigation key and right navigation key only for once so that duplicated object will be in the same position within that slide.
Thanks for popping in to share the method that works best for you Vivek :)

I also would really like a paste in place feature. Constantly fixing this offset gets extremely tedious.

Paste in place would be nice. I usually use Storyline's Align tool. I copy, paste, then select the original and duplcate objects and use Align > Left and Align > Top to bring the new object into exact alignment with the original. But it is tedious if you have to do this a lot.
Cheers!

Hi Timothy,
Looks like Ray has popped in to share a bit of what works well for him.
I did submit a feature request on your behalf :)

Somehow when I run many programs together ( I have AI, PS, SL3 Bridge, many Chromes and Explorer) the paste in place does work (see fig: 3 copies of the same text box --see timeline-- are perfectly aligned). This is often after long session with no reboot. I have a win 10 with 32GB ram.
I suspect this is a memory issue but i like it... So maybe there IS a trick into getting past in place to work ?

+1 vote for past in place please :-)
Thanks for popping in to share your thoughts as well Peter. I see that this request has been around awhile, but not many recent comments.
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.
Would you be able to share your use-case with us so we can understand a bit better?
You can share it here in an official feature request or feel free to share those thoughts with us right here in a reply.
Thanks so much.

I see many "feature requests" but often, years later, they are still request :(
What is the proportion of request that make it to the next release ?
This is not a criticism.. budgets are limited everywhere, just to get an idea of the odds ratio for inclusion.

Hi Philippe, have a look here : https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/requested-features-that-were-included-in-sl2
No answer, though...

Yes it seems that there are many many requests that years later are still
being requested...
Hi Philippe,
We see a lot of feature requests submitted officially and probably even more folks here in ELH saying they'd like to see a feature or adding their voice to a discussion! I don't have any official numbers to share, but I'll see if that's something we can start keeping a tally of internally to help assess the volume of requests and features added.
