Thanks for reaching out with your example. 

If you have a shape on a slide that is 50 seconds long and set to "show always," the duration of this shape is 50 seconds. When you paste that shape onto another slide, the timeline will adjust to fit the shape's duration.

You can manually adjust the Timing on your shape to a specific duration by ensuring both "Show until end of slide" and "Always show on slide" are unchecked. This will not affect the timeline when pasted on other slides unless it is longer:
