PDFs loading but not launching

I'm trying to load PDF files from a desktop folder to the Resources tab in my Storyline course. They show they've loaded but won't open in Review or SCORM cloud. Thoughts? I'm not getting an error me...

Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing PDF files from a Storyline course!

Great to hear that you're already working with locally-stored files. I tested this on my end, in the current version of Storyline 360, but was unable to replicate the same behavior. In both Review 360, and SCORM Cloud, my sample PDF file opened in a new browser tab, as expected. I have some follow-up questions to help me understand your setup a little better:

  • From your post, it sounds like this happens with all PDFs that have been added to your course, and not just one specifically. Is that correct?
  • Does this issue occur regardless of which supported browser is used? I conducted my test with Google Chrome.
  • Do you have any browser extensions/plug-ins installed that could be preventing these files from opening?
