I too have the same issue since the last update. The storyline files were working as expected until the update today. Please fix this ASAP.

Sorry to hear you've also run into this issue!
Our development team is tracking a known bug in Storyline 360 that causes:
- Play button shows even if there is no media file on the first slide and there is closed caption
