Playing & stopping audio on a slide layer
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me please.
I'm working on a project in Storyline and I have some text on a slide layer (not the base layer) which I have also added as audio. The aim is for users to be able to play the audio if required. Setting triggers for this is fine, The audio plays and the state changes to show play has been selected.
I now want to set the users can stop audio if not required, but this is causing me problems. I have tried various combinations of triggers and variables but all this seems to do is stop the audio playing at all.
I have checked various settings, and restarted from scratch but I seem to be tying myself in knots. 😕 Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Hello GeorgieW .
Unless I have misunderstood your problem, it is very easy to use a trigger with “Play media” when the learner clicks on a button (Play). The media is your audio on the slide layer and the button is an object you have created. Then click on another button associated with the “Pause media” trigger to pause playback. Then click Play again. Then click Pause again if necessary. You can also “stop the media” with another button and it will resume from the beginning if you click the Play button. See the attached short demo.
Does that help? Or am I way off base?

Hello ThierryEMMANUEL
Thank you so much, I have saved your demo and looked at it briefly as I'm still working through the rest of my my content but I'm sure it will be a huge help. 😊
