Portfolio Sites

Hi, all! Do you guys have portfolio sites? I have some videos (SL360 and Camtasia), Rise stuff, PPT decks and Word docs I can use to inform hiring managers of my experience and capabilities. I guess I've been lucky, or just lazy, that it's taken me until now to do a portfolio site. I'd love to see your site and yes, probably steal an idea or two, if you're willing. Also, who hosts your site, what platform is it (i.e. Wordpress, etc.), etc.?

Thanks for your help!

  • While it is a work in progress, I decided to build out my portfolio IN one of the tools many companies look for proficiency with....
If you guessed Rise &/or Storyline, you are correct.

  • A lot of people like Wordpress, or something similar, or prefer to fight with Google or Microsoft or Moodle.

I say, publish for the web, and post it on Amazon's S3, which is free. If you have HUGE volume, they will charge you a few cents/month. S3 really is as simple as 1, 2, 3.

    1 publish for web

2 drag published folder onto S3 page and click the button to give it public access

3 Click button to copy URL to Index.html file

Anybody you give the URL to can access it.

But what I like most about it is the almost unlimited potential. Some of those things can get more complex, but you are limited only by your need and ability (and they have probably the most extensive help and tutorial system in the world).  In my case I register my domain through S3, host my email and website there, and put my portfolio on it as part of the site.  https://tinyurl.com/492sncjf

All of this assuming you don't need the sort of control and data back that only an LMS can give you.
