Problem with the font size in Storyline 360

Hi, I have a problem with the font size in Storyline 360. I have to modify a big course that includes about 25 modules. The last time I was doing it was about one year ago. This time when I open a storyline file, I see that font size changed (it is about 0.5-1 size bigger). I am using mostly Open Sans font (size 14), but the same situation is with other fonts (like Relay font). The problem is that text doesn't fit well in boxes/shapes so it requires a lot of work to change it (most slides would have to be modified).
I reinstalled Windows last time (to Windows 10), but I don't think this should cause a problem. I am also using a different Office version but Storyline is not connected in any way with MS Office so I also don't think it should be a reason for a problem.
Do you know what might cause this kind of an issue?

P.S. This is my second attempt to publish this post, I don't know why the last one is not visible

  • Hi Olaf,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I see that you've opened a case and that you're working with my colleague Luiza. You're in great hands!

We'll continue the conversation over in your support case.

Have a great start to your week, and happy developing! ✨

  • I am having a similar issue with the same font. Can someone elaborate on what the solution is?

  • Unfortunately, this solution does not help me. Here's a link to show what I'm seeing: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/3003d542-0f0f-436b-b3fa-bf7a621fc325/review

The left-side textbox is the dimensions I want it to be, but the font is wrong. The only way I can get it to display the font correctly is by adding a return after the last line, which makes the dimensions of my box too big. I'm not sure if this is the same issue the other member was having, but it sounded similar. Any thoughts on why this is behaving this way and how to fix it? I too, have 85 slides in my actual file, which would be a nightmare to have to update manually.

Hello MicheleBuddie! Thank you for sharing that slide! I can see the difference between the two text boxes. Did you create this course in Update 93 originally? If not, as a troubleshooting step, could you import this file into a new .story file to see if the behavior is the same?  This would help us determine if the issue is within Storyline 360 or the file itself.

If it does work as expected in the new file, is it possible you could continue working on the project there? If not, feel free to share your .story file with us in a support case and we can troubleshoot the issue specifically.
