Problems with Markers - text box in Rise - wording cut-off

I have a problem with the text boxes that appear when a marker is clicked - you can view full wording of the box in edit & also in preview. However, when it is published in Review, the text boxes cut off & you can't read all the text.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks

Claire

  • Hi Claire! I'm sorry you're seeing that. Collapsing the feedback panel on the right of the screen in Review 360 may help.

We are aware of a bug where shrinking the width of the browser will hide part of the labeled graphic text, and the feedback panel in Review 360 causes a similar "shrinking width" effect. I'll make sure we post an update here when that bug is resolved.

  • I've got an update, Claire! In Chrome browsers, labeled graphic marker captions were clipped by the sidebar when you decreased the size of the browser window. We've fixed that issue, and you'll want to republish any affected courses to take advantage of the fix.

Hi BenjaminStro325! Happy to help! To get a clearer picture, can you tell us a bit more about your setup? You mentioned using markers in Storyline and seeing text cut off when they’re selected. Does this happen while you’re working in Storyline 360, or only after publishing (like on a website, in your LMS, or in Review 360)?

If you’re open to it, could you also share your project file? That way, we can test it and suggest the next steps. You can attach it here in the discussion or send it privately in a support case.

So I would but my workaround was just to make the textbox much larger and now the words aren't cut off. It's odd how arbitrary it is: some hover boxes are just and others aren't, but that's the easy workaround for me.
